This group has a Blind Babies Program. It provides early intervention services. These services are for families and their children living with visual impairments. The goal is to make sure children are at the same level as their peers once they enter the school system. The program is for children from birth through the age of 5. United Way offers workshops as part of the Born Learning program. These workshops help parents explore ways to enhance their child's development. UWNF provides parent education workshops that are simple, fun and interactive. All parents may attend. This includes those who have been court ordered to attend a parenting class. Parents with disabilities and those with low literacy levels may also come. UWNF provides information on the stages of development, nutrition, early literacy and more. This is a 21st Century Community Learning Center, where students can get help with reading and math, as well as gain additional skills year round with art, music, finance, career track, and recreational programs. Please see the website for more information.

This helps give students the chance to meet state and local standards in reading and math.
The Boys & Girls Club also offers character building experiences. During the school year, the Club is open from 3 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The BCHD offers vaccinations to children and adults. They are FREE TO ALL CHILDREN 6 weeks thru 18 years old.
Vaccines prevent serious and/or deadly diseases.
Many adult vaccines are available. Adults may pay on a sliding fee scale.
Influenza vaccine is available for adult & child each fall and winter.

Healthy Families Gadsden/Leon is a free home visiting program. The program is for expecting parents or parents who have a newborn baby younger than three months.

Brehon House is transitional housing in Tallahassee. Brehon House provides safe housing for homeless pregnant women and their infants. The women are can bring children three years or younger to live with them. These women and their children are provided a stable, nurturing, safe and loving environment.

This agency provides visitation services. They take place at the Calvary Chapel Worship Center. It provides a safe place where children can meet with a noncustodial parent.
