Family Assistance ServicesThe Council has many services for seniors. This includes meal sites, health support, home delivered meals, homemaker services, and nutrition classes. There are also telephone reassurance, and transportation services. Caregivers can apply for respite care.

Suwannee Valley 4C's strives to meet the early learning needs of each child. Every child receives a variety of learning experiences that enhance his/her cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth. It is for children ages 0 to 5. The aim is to develop early learning habits in children so they will be ready to start school. They will also get health services including dental care and prenatal care for expectant mothers. Head Start is a federally funded early education program. It is for children ages 3 to 5. It serves those from low-income families and children with disabilities. Call or visit the website to learn more.

Types of services:
This group offers a program for blind teens and young adults. It is a transition program. The help available is for individuals between the ages of 14 and 24. The program is focused on job readiness. As well as independent living skills. The goal of the program is to prepare students for life after high school. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Homeless families who come to Family Promise stay at a local congregation for one week. While there, they get three meals a day, case management and other services. They can use laundry facilities, a computer and get phone access at the Family Center. They will also meet with a social worker who will develop a plan of action to get the family on the path to self sufficiency. Please see the website for more information.
Residents and other adults attend the Day Program. They take classes in computer skills, home economics, small animal care and gardening. They learn arts and crafts, physical education, and academics. Also, a woodworking shop has been built and is a source of employment to our students.

The Angelus consists of 5 group homes. They house severely handicapped persons who are not able to care for themselves. There is room for 40 residents. All residents have have physical challenges.
