Two caregiver support groups are offered:

The Adult Children Support Group - The focus is on issues, concerns and questions adult children face as they care for a parent with memory loss. We also assist in teaching more about memory loss.

The Nursing Home/Assisted Living Issues Support Group - Topics covered:

• How to be active in the loved one's care
• How to make your visits more meaningful
• How to resolve concerns and communicate with facility staff
• State and federal regulations governing nursing homes and assisted living facilities
• The care plan process

CARES has two adult day centers in Pasco County. They provide a variety of services including an early memory loss program.

This agency offers respite care. The patient must have a memory disorder.

This chapter has support groups for those with diabetes. Fund raising activities support diabetes research and education programs.

Day Treatment Services allow youth to reside at home and attend the program daily. Staff are able to address issues in both the home and the students' neighborhood. Anchorage Children's Home offers counseling to children and their families. This is to help heal and build up the relationships at home. Services are provided in the home, at school, or in the agency’s office for up to twelve weeks. They also provide prevention and group intervention service to school-aged, at-risk youth. The Center's mission is to empower and inspire people of all ages. The goal is to educate minds and have healthy bodies. Another aim is to foster volunteerism. Youth are encouraged to be active in programs such as martial arts. Teen activities are also available.

Are You OK? is a program for elderly and / or homebound patients. This service will do daily wellness check-in's. It is a free service and provided by the Niceville Police department. Please visit website for more information.
