Glad Tidings Community Church is part of 461 Response. They help provide food to those in need. A temporary food assistance program for individuals and families is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to noon. Every Sunday afternoon there are hot meals available for seniors in need. Children’s Home Society of Florida provides Healthy Start. It is a program for pregnant women and families with infants. They will help you prepare for your new baby. They can refer you to free childbirth classes also. When your baby is born, they can provide developmental screenings, and continue helping after the birth. Please call or visit website.
Granny Nannies offers home health care 24 hours a day. They help people recover from illness or injury at home, so that they can avoid hospital and nursing home stays. They can help with meals, housekeeping and personal chores. They also help with those who have trouble keeping up with their medications. Health care is given by CNAs and HHAs. KAIR is a USDA certified food pantry. They offer “Meals to Go” – pre-made meals for the homeless. They offer bags of groceries to those who have cooking facilities. They also offer food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmastime. The pantry is open five days a week during office hours or by appointment. Call for more information.
