Florida Resurrection House is a transitional housing and self-sufficiency program. It is for families with minor children who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Contact for more information.
This group gives free legal services. They can also help seniors and veterans in Florida who do not live in the Tampa Bay area. They cannot help with criminal, traffic, or personal injury issues. Girls Inc offers a Before & After School Enrichment Program. Activities include:
States of Florida Certified Teachers on staff. Mornings with Breakfast: 6:30AM to school opening. Afternoons with Snacks or Dinner: close of school to 6:00PM. Transportation provided to and from school. Contact for more information.
This work release program helps ease the transition of offenders back into the community. This program serves female nonviolent offenders. Residents live for three to nine months while working at least 35 hours per week. Residents get help finding employment. They also attend counseling sessions and life skills classes. BookWorks volunteers read to preschool children at Head Start centers and other locations. Each child is given a book of their own to take home. The program is designed to instill a love of books and reading. Please call for more information.
