CARC - Advocates for Citizens with Disabilities, Inc. - Client Services
CARC – Advocates for Citizens provides Adult Day Training. The following services and activities are available to support each individual and to help them achieve their goals:
- Adult Basic Education provided by the Columbia County School Board
- Arts and crafts
- Assistance with personal care activities is provided on a one-to-one basis in the individual’s own home or family home or while individual is engaged in a community activity
- Community activities and field trips
- Outdoor sports
- Personal Care Assistance
- Social activities such as parties and dances
- Specialized training in the activities of daily living, adaptive and social skills, and self-advocacy
- Vocational training and paid work through the manufacture and sale of various products, retail work, and lawn maintenance (examples of assistance are meal preparation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene and other self care activities)
Care & Services - Life Care Center of Citrus County
This Center provides nursing home residents with quality care. Nursing staff is on hand 24 hours a day. They provide care for those with memory disorders as well. Please call for more information.
