Healthy Start is a program that screens pregnant women and newborn babies. They identify risk factors for low birth weight and infant mortality. Healthy Start is free for everyone. A team of nurses, social workers, and peer counselors assist families in finding out their needs. Classes are in English and Spanish. No appointment is needed.
