RAP House( Runaway Alternatives Project)-Youth & Family Alternatives, Inc. (YFA) -

RAP House is a runaway and youth crisis program for troubled youth. It serves children between the ages of 10 and 17. Provides shelter services are provided for youth who have run away from home. They may also be homeless, having school-related problems, or be youth in crisis for any other reason and need respite care. RAP House primarily serves Pasco County. Services are available 24/7.

Salvation Army - Pasco County Corps - Domestic Violence Outreach Center

This shelter offers domestic violence counseling, case management and victim advocacy. Volunteers offer injunction assistance and can accompany victims as they go through the court process. Also available are safety planning, 911 cell phones, information and referrals. Clients can get emergency food and clothing. They can volunteer and get professional training. They can get help moving to a new home. There are support groups for women and children.

Service Dogs- Southeastern Guide Dogs

Blind or visually impaired veterans who wish to be more independent may apply for a guide dog. Veterans live and learn on campus and then receive follow-up support. The dog, equipment and instruction are all free of charge.

Other veterans may benefit from a Veteran Service Dog. Dogs help those with PTSD to regain confidence and heal faster.

Family Therapy Dogs visit military hospitals. They spread cheer and encouragement which help the wounded heal from their injuries.
