This Senior center offers a hot lunch Monday through Friday. A dietician is on hand to answer any questions about diet and nutrition. They also provide home-delivered meals to seniors who are home bound. There are a number of daily activities at the Center. These include exercise, crafts, quilting, Bible Circle, acting and more. Daystar Life Center provides bus passes and gas vouchers to those in need. They also offer bike locks to clients when a bicycle is their only means of transit. Daystar is the only official Travelers Aid site in Pinellas County. Please see the website for more information.
The Orange Line bus provides transportation to and from doctor's appointments, grocery stores and other places. It costs $1 a trip or $2 for unlimited trips per day. A $35 monthly pass is also available. Children under 12 ride free. The Transit Bus provides door to door service for those who cannot ride the regular bus. EC Rider offers Dial-A-Ride paratransit (door to door) service. It is for people who cannot use the public bus. To use this service you must complete an application. Applications are normally processed in 3-5 working days if all information is provided. A representative from EC Rider will call you once they have reviewed your application.
