Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida provides The Center for Women & Families. They provide a range of social services to homeless families. The center is made up of three distinct sections; a single women’s dorm, family dorm, and individual family rooms. They also offer the First Steps Shelter Recovery Program for Women. Community Connect is a Healthy Start program. It handles the prenatal and infant screening forms. It also handles the referral process. The program helps pregnant women, caregivers, and families. This agency provides free screenings for parents who feel their child has behavioral or developmental delay. Their target age is from birth to 5 years. St. Paul Lutheran Church provides food assistance for those in need. They have a weekly Community Meal on Tuesday for those who don’t normally have access to hot, balanced meals.
