This helps give students the chance to meet state and local standards in reading and math.
The Boys & Girls Club also offers character building experiences. During the school year, the Club is open from 3 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This Club has recreational, educational and arts and crafts activities. They serve youth ages 5 through 18. They have sports activities for leadership development. Tutoring is available during the school year for help with homework. There are programs for teens that help them get jobs. The Clubs are accessible and affordable for everyone. There are Club scholarships for families in need.

Arnette House provides a safe and caring space to youth between the ages 10 - 17. They provide support beyond just food and shelter. Youth are taught basic life skills and self-reliance. Ways to get help:
The Bridge Transitional Living program serves up to 6 youth with housing and 14 youth in non-residential services. It empowers these 16- to 22-year-old youths to become independent and fully contributing members of their communities. This work is done through an 18-month program. During this time, they will continue or complete their education. They will work to obtain employment. They will also develop essential life skills.
